Who is she??
I fell in love with photography when I was in high school, around 2003. In 2004, I started taking senior pictures for people I went to school with. I also went to a ton of punk and hardcore shows and worked a lot with local and touring bands. I grew a healthy balance of solo portrait work, live events, and band promotional work. My work continued to expand as I introduced weddings and family photography around 2007. That same year, I enrolled in college to study photography. I learned a great deal about shooting with film, and experienced film developing and dark room processing. I studied digital photography and photoshop elements. I worked with models, and learned aside other amazing artists. I received two best in show awards in the student show.
In 2009 I worked as a photojournalist intern for The Bay City Times, which became a priceless, life changing experience. I photographed athletes, politicians, celebrities, and even tornado wreckage. I learned the journalist approach to photography as I entered peoples homes and businesses, covered various musical and social events, and spent a good amount of time waiting by a CB radio for news to unfold. My time there led to published work in newspapers spanning across the entire state of Michigan.

In 2012 I sold almost everything I owned, packed up my car with my cat and boyfriend and moved to Tacoma Washington. It was the perfect time for me to experience a "coming of age" life experience. I took this time to discover who I was, what I wanted, and where I wanted to go next. I didn't mind taking a break from portrait work as I dived into all that life had to offer in this new world I was a part of in the Pacific Northwest.

My love for portrait photography came back in full swing when I moved to Cannon Beach. I was instantly hooked again and I knew it was time to pick up where I left off. It felt so effortless and natural the way it happened. I was just ready, and I was better than ever before. My style was refined, my approach was fresh. It was the perfect reset that I needed. I have met so many amazing people since I started my Cannon Beach journey. It truly feels like my cup is overflowing with love and relationships here. The community is more than I could have ever asked for.

Life feels like a dream when I think of how many thousands of people a camera has brought into my life. How many stories I've got to tell, how many journeys I've been a part of.
